The key words for loading and parking are speed and safety! Vehicles must arrive at least 30 minutes before the departure of the trip. For the purpose of ensuring the vessel’s proper stability and more efficient use of deck space, the ship’s captain determines the number of vehicles and cargo, as well as the loading sequence and placement on board. After a vehicle has been loaded onto the vessel, the driver must take measures to prevent it from moving (apply the handbrake, use wheel chocks, fastening straps, etc.). All special requests and requirements must be communicated to the vessel’s crew in advance, and whenever possible, we will always try to accommodate them. To make the ferry trip run more smoothly, we can all do our part. Here are some tips and recommendations for acting responsibly at the port: Every passenger is required to purchase a ticket for boarding the ferry (including children travelling for free). Arrive at the ferry at least 15 minutes before departure and have your ticket, ID card, and, if applicable, any discount verification documents ready. When travelling with a vehicle (including bicycles), be at the ferry at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. If you have cargo or a vehicle that requires crane loading, arrange the transport in advance via the ferry information line (+372 53059910 for the Ruhnu route). To purchase discounted tickets, you must present documents verifying eligibility for the discount. Pets are only allowed in areas designated for them. Carefully follow information posted at the port, paying attention to temporary directional signs, and follow the instructions of the personnel designated by the carrier.
To ensure that a long-planned class excursion or any student outing goes smoothly and without accidents, you need to stay alert when travelling by ferry! A student group boards the ferry together with accompanying adults. Accompanying adults are mandatory for preschool children (at least 1 adult per 5 children) and recommended for school-aged children (at least 1 adult per 10 children). Please arrive at the port at least 30 minutes before the ferry’s departure. In case of later arrival, the reservation will lose its validity. More detailed information is available on the Help page.
